Thesis Statement

Your Thesis Statement is a "road map" to help your reader navigate your ideas. The Thesis Statement is a statement of a hunch or educated guess that you will prove to be true. Find a point that is an arguable or debatable truth that further research could prove or clarify. You will re-evaluate & modify this first opinion as you take notes. In fact, you may have to change your Thesis Statement as your research progresses if your thinking changes.
